Sticky Notes of Thoughts

…because some thoughts are worth remembering

On Opposite of Suffering

As 2015 comes to a close, I’m posting a simple sentence I scribbled on a sticky note. Many of my posts are syntheses of several sticky notes or exploration of an idea written on a sticky note. Today, reflecting on a year of transition, joy, friendships, births, deaths, kindness and suffering in my own life as well as what is happening in the word, I’ll post the note as it is without commentary, for the 365th post of 2015:

The opposite of suffering is not happiness: it’s freedom.

Wishing all of you, a kinder and gentler world, and freedom.
