…because some thoughts are worth remembering
Concept of operations, often abbreviated as CONOPS, is defined as “a document describing the characteristics of a proposed system from the viewpoint of an individual who will use that system” by the Wikipedia. Gamestorming describes it more loosely as “a way to imagine the world”: CONOPS is used to “1) create an overall picture of the system and the goals that they want to achieve”, and 2) communicate that picture to the people who will work together reach those goals.” Gamestorming further explains that it is a way to say “given what we know today, here is how we think this system works and here is how we plan to approach it.”
Such a simple concept, and yet not put in practice enough. Perhaps if we keep this abbreviation in mind, we could improve our system to meet our goals better.
