…because some thoughts are worth remembering
In thinking about the “self”, I’ve come to recognize that it is a function of many things, and there is no static self. Another way to look at it might be that the “self” is vast, and there are many sides to it. Which side appears or dominates depends on many factors (time, environment, mood, etc.).
My equivalent of adjusting that compass is to ask myself if I am my best self (in this situation, this job/career, with this person) today?
